Challenge Videos

Challenge Videos

We have teamed up with Rob at TCR to develop some challenge videos to support our schools sport provision.

‘Personal Best Challenges in KS1’ in association with TCR is an ideal way to measure improvement in PE over time. The challenges could be used to identify children requiring intervention or challenging further.'

KS1 Challenges

The six challenges are based on the requirements of the National Curriculum for Physical Education. You don’t need a lot of equipment to get started and the challenges can be adapted to introduce further levels of challenge.

The training is divided into two parts. The first provides information for teachers about the purpose of the challenges and how to deliver them effectively using the rules and teaching points provided.

The second part provides children with short demonstration videos about how to complete the challenges to the best of their ability. The videos could be used for a virtual PE lesson or to introduce or refine a specific skill. Progress can then be tracked against the key skills of the National Curriculum.

Personal Best Challenges in KS2 are split in to LKS2 and UKS2 challenges, in LKS2 there are 7 challenges where as it is 8 challenges in UKS2.  It is an ideal way to measure improvement in PE over time.
